15 Nov Thanksgiving Recipes: Decisions, decisions…
There’s nothing more handy than being a food magazine publisher this time of year. Thanks to the talents of Chef Donna Zotter and our test kitchen elves, I have a plethora of options to choose from — but I’m torn. I’ve been looking through our archives, and there is so much to choose from!
There are a few recipes I’m considering, so I thought I’d share — perhaps it might spark some of your own kitchen creativity.
Of course, The Family can be difficult about detours from the traditional menu, but dammit, I get so bored with turkey and mashed potatoes!
I’m mulling over the following:
Mini Savory Bites to start
or
Grilled Shrimp on Lemongrass Skewers (my lemongrass plant is slowly taking over the house, so I need to use it)
Spice Glazed Carrots as a side
Sweet Potato & Gorgonzola Gratin (now a family favorite, thankfully)
My dessert options are numerous, so I somehow have to narrow down this list of favorites:
Chai Pots de Creme
Pear and Lavender Creme Brulee
Apricot Ginger Flan
Cardamom Scented Rice Pudding
Decisions, decisions…
