10 Jun Lemony, Grassy…Perfect
This time last year we were featuring lemongrass at the Gilded Fork (then Gastronomic Meditations), so my thoughts are returning to that wonderful scent of citrus, as I remember putting it in nearly everything I was cooking. I even bought a lemongrass bush which, alas, did not survive the winter (and I did follow the instructions — to the letter). See, plants are just not my thing.
Anyhoo, my mother bought me a new plant to help me through the grieving process, so I’m again off to the races of lemongrass exploration. As a reminder of some of the places we’ve gone with this lovely ingredient, we’ve reprised last year’s feature on lemongrass, Perfumed Allure. The recipes are a perfect match for Summer’s early sunshine, so revel in the scent and flavor this weekend. I know I will.
