There’s something about a sleepy, rainy Saturday that inspires notions of kitchen creation. Thankfully, the occupants of the domicile I’m currently watching are avid cooks, so the kitchen is equipped in grand fashion. I will add, however, that while I love the look and ease of pots and pans hung from the ceiling, the accessibility of a footstool would be mighty helpful in this case. Shut up.
They have great ingredients, too — I see dried cherries, crystallized ginger, oatmeal — I’m thinking of cookies; perhaps I’ll leave a nice surprise for their return. Well, I mean, I’ll have to taste to ensure quality control, because my reputation is on the line here…
