Back Into the Trenches

Well, call it sadistic, but I’ve decided to don my kitchen clogs once again and head into a professional kitchen. My dear friend Joseph Cimino from Park Place Restaurant in Goshen, NY is re-opening tomorrow after a summer break, and the kitchen staff just gained a body. Let’s hope the addition of said set of hands does not result in disaster for his operation.

I haven’t been in the heat for a long time, and find myself itching to get back in there. I’m also teaching a series of culinary classes beginning next month, so I want to brush up on my skills, get some new inspiration, and re-connect with a world I’ve been away from, as this magazine has consumed my every breathing moment for the last seven months. There is so much to learn and experience that this is simply an opportunity I cannot pass up; harvest is almost here, and that kitchen is going to be exploding with ingredients.

This adventure should provide me with many meditations to come. 🙂
