I want to send out a very special congratulations to Laurie and Alex Alexiev, creators of Allure Estates Olive Oil. They recently won the Gold Medal for Best in Class at the Los Angeles County Fair olive oil competition, the biggest international competition of its kind. They even beat out the Napa and Sonoma producers. Heh.
Our toques are off to them, as their olive oil is one of the best we’ve tasted yet. You can read their story in the Artisan’s Corner piece Adventures in a Pile of Dirt. Their gorgeous oil will be for sale the very day we open our online boutique, so get your tastebuds ready. The countdown has begun.
