12 Apr Smell That Movie
Didn’t the idea of introducing smells to movies and television fail miserably in the 50s? I could have sworn I read that somewhere.
Well, now it’s a different age, so I’m interested to see where this goes. A Japanese company is introducing a type of aromatherapy for the movies, where scents will be emitted during certain scenes (I am partial to the citrus tones, but the tea tree and eucalyptus are also lovely).
Since I’m all for evoking the senses, I think we should add these to the videocasts we have in development at the Gilded Fork. Perhaps you could smell our truffles, cinnamon and ginger as we bandy about the kitchen. I’m not kidding.
gilded fork, food, food writing, senses, scents, movies
