14 Aug Hudson Valley Happenings
The food events are starting to bloom here in the Hudson Valley as Autumn quickly approaches. Yesterday I was at Taste of the Nation at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park (just down the road from one of my very favorite places on earth), and I got to sample a number of microbrews that range from whimsical to utterly decadent. I’ve featured the details on today’s Food Philosophy podcast, so if you’re curious about what’s happening in this neck of the (former) woods, take a listen.
I’ve just looked at my calendar for the next two months, and it’s downright hairy. I’m very eager for the Hudson Valley Wine Fest taking place September 9th & 10th, and I’m hoping to see my pal Lenn Thompson and his lovely wife so we can share a day of sipping. We’ll soon have an announcement about Lenn, so stay tuned!
I’ll keep posting event dates (as far in advance as I can) as they come up, so hopefully I’ll encounter one or two of you in my frolicking! I get really excited about the fall — that cool air just does sumpin’ to me.
