One of my nephews has a naturally comedic personality, so he often has me in stitches without even trying. In trying to describe the kind of sandwich he wanted the other day, he was desperately looking for the right way to explain his preferences. You could see the determination on his face as he tried to work it out in his four-year-old head. In the end, his explanation came out exactly the way I would have stated it:
“I want a fluffernutter, but just a fluffer, not a nutter.”
I love this kid. 🙂
