ReMARKable Palate #35: Chelsea Market Tour, Part 2
Rob Safuto and I took you on a tour of Buon Italia a few weeks ago. Here’s the rest of our Chelsea Market Soundseeing tour, with visits to Chelsea Thai, Manhattan Fruit Exchange, and Bowery Kitchen Supply, with some gelato tasting along the way!

Your soundseeing tour podcasts of Chelsea Market were great. When I was in New York this January I told my wife that we needed to go to Chelsea Market before we left. She asked what was there and I said it was a mall for cooks. I was very impressed with the market and your Podcast brought me back to Manhattan. The soups and sushi were excellent and Buon Italia was one of the coolest stores I have even been in. While most prople come back from New York with a suitcase full of miniature Statue of Liberty and Empire State Buildings and NBC mugs, we had a bag full of imported oils, pastas, tubes of tomato paste, cheeses, and other goodies from Buon Italia.
Thanks, Jeff. As you can tell, it’s one of my favorite places in NYC, whether for fun or for getting ingredients for clients.
You should also check out the video tour that Rob and I did that same day. You can see it at:

My most recent show, #36 is a similar sort of tour, of a specialty shop in Albuquerque named Fremonts.
BTW, we have just opened up subforums on the Gilded Fork Forum for each of the shows on the CPN. The link for my show is:

Feel free to get into more in depth discussions over there.
