My father worked for many different railroads during his career as a public relations man. He went to cities all over this country to talk about his railroad. He has championed grade-crossing safety, managed derailment sites and promoted the image of railroads in the sixties, seventies and eighties. I talk to my dad on this podcast though about food on the rails. He would come home from his travels with stories about how the crews ate and how the rail brass ate. We, as a family often took rail trips across the country eating in dining cars. We talk about those topics and more on this special edition of the CHIC podcast.
