11 Jul The Maestro
My profound appreciation for aesthetics has always served as a type of balm when life becomes uncomfortably chaotic; I can find respite in the most unusual of places. After spending many days and nights working on this new issue, I was feeling more than a bit drained, and eager to see the task completed. When the site went live, I was completely overwhelmed by the beauty of Kelly Cline’s photos, in all of their grace and splendor. Suddenly, tears came to my eyes.
Her images have an ethereal, intense quality that I have not found elsewhere, and it amazes me how excited I can get over the sight of a bowl of blackberries. Kelly speaks to people through her photography — no, she sings, from the depths of her soul. And I am addicted to the melody.
