13 Jul A Cook’s Kitchen
There is a great deal of comfort to be found in a kitchen that is set up for proper cooking. The recent baker’s rack I installed has turned out to be my favorite item — ever. Not only can I get to everything with minimal effort, but it is there for all to see — a reminder that a cook lives here. You will find no cutesy items or fancy decor; it is all about form following function. Flours are in individual clear bins, lined up like soldiers ready to serve at my command. Sea salt: right there. Pyrex, aluminum, stainless steel — it’s like a candy store to someone with a sweet tooth.
Of course, I would be much more content if I actually had an abundance of time to spend in said kitchen. These days, building out the magazine and all of the content to come has absorbed a lot of my time. But soon, soon I will dive back in. I’m buying lime green kitchen clogs to celebrate that momentous day.
