Ideas for Change: Ending Malnutrition

You know that we love the work being done at Action Against Hunger USA and their International partners at Action Contre le Faim. Their Campaign to End Malnutrition is an ambitious project to eradicate hunger amongst the children of the world. Acute malnutrition afflicts 75 million children a year, 19 million of whom face outright starvation, while 5 million die from a lack of treatment. Action Against Hunger’s ready-to-use-foods (RUFs) are an amazing, non-spoiling, portable and shelf stable nutritional product which can literally bring starving children back from the brink.

Action Against Hunger is asking for our help. They are hoping to move the Campaign to End Malnutrition to the next stage in the “Ideas for Change in America” competition that will present President Barack Obama with its “top 10 ideas” later this January.

ACF’s “Campaign to End Malnutrition” concept took 1st place in the “Global Poverty” category during the 1st round of voting and was automatically included in the 2nd round.

The next step is to help it along to the final round. You can vote between Jan. 5th-15th
