Gilded Fork Cookbook Weekly Roundup 3/3/09

We have been completely overwhelmed with the positive feedback we’ve been getting on our Gilded Fork Cookbook project, and our hearts are warmed with all the great help we’ve been getting from our intrepid recipe testers.

We’ve already received feedback from several people along with some great photos, and we’ll have a weekly roundup of progress and blog posts our friends are making along the way.

CC Chapman has been a long time supporter of our work here at CMN/Gilded Fork. he’s a leading voice in the Social Media space, and one of the principal partners of The Advance Guard. He hosts 2 great podcasts:  Accident Hash, all about great podsafe music, and Managing the Grey, a podcast all about the social media marketplace.  His personal blog is a place where he sounds off on everything else. He recently blogged about the fun time he had making our Poached Pears with Chocolate Raspberry Sauce recipe with his kids. He even includes some great pictures of his daughter Emily.

Mary Jane Curry is a personal chef in Southern California, and the owner of Custom Cuisine Personal Chef Service. She writes about her experiences cooking dinner parties and creating custom cakes for her clients on her blog at customcuisine.blogspot.com.

She made our Lavender Lemon Pound Cake and our Pistachio Crusted Salmon with shredded cabbage & Bailey’s Irish Cream Sauce recipes, and here are the results:

Ken Pasternak is a friend of mine from high school. We have known each other since the 6th grade at Albuquerque Academy (go lifers!). Now Ken lives in San Francisco and is the Managing Director of Marshall Strategy, a corporate identity and brand strategy consultancy. He and his wife Aniko took some great photos of their interpretation of our Chilled Cucumber Mint Soup.

Ken Stoeffler is the host of The Flatus Show, a weekly Vaudeville style audio blog. He made 3 of our dishes, and produced this beautiful photo of our Carrot & Ginger Soup.

We’ll have more pictures and links to some great blogs in the coming weeks. If you’re one of our recipe testers and you’re blogging about what you’re making, please be sure to send us the link, and we’ll include it here in next week’s roundup!
